Adlene Guedioura fit again for Wolves
Tuesday 6th September 2011, 4:00PM BST.
Wolves midfielder Adlene Guedioura today insisted his season starts now after recovering from ankle surgery.
The Algeria World Cup star had the operation on his right ankle in Paris during the first week of August and was expected to be out for six weeks, after suffering discomfort from the first day of pre-season in Ireland.
But, after returning to training before the international break following 12 days’ rehabilitation in Qatar, the 25-year-old is fully fit.
A possible comeback date is the reserves’ trip to Blackburn next Monday – six weeks from the week of his operation.
Guedioura said: “My season starts now and hopefully I can impress in training and be involved.
“I feel good and happy and fully fit without any pain so, hopefully, I can be ready for the next few games.”
