Ex-Wolves striker Leon Clarke in bust-up with Paolo Di Canio

Wednesday 31st August 2011, 5:49AM BST.

Swindon manager Paolo Di Canio was involved in a heated confrontation with former Wolves striker Leon Clarke following Tuesday night’s Carling Cup defeat by Southampton.

The former West Ham striker appeared to manhandle Swindon star Clarke towards the tunnel and the pair seemed to be pushing and shoving before being separated.

A product of the Wolves academy, Clarke made 74 appearances for the club, scoring 13 goals.

He was sold by manager Mick McCarthy to Sheffield Wednesday in 2007.
