Wolves to join Total Football show

Wolves will be among three Premier League clubs contesting the academy tournament at the inaugural Total Football Show in Lilleshall next month.

The club’s under-16s will compete against sides from Stoke and Newcastle as well as Middlesbrough, Reading and Coventry from the Championship, Walsall and League One play-off winners Peterborough.

The tournament will be played over the Saturday and Sunday of the show at the National Sports Centre, which begins on Friday July 8, and will run alongside a grassroots tournament involving junior teams.

Exhibitions, coaching sessions and a full seminar programme will allow fans to interact with stars such as Wolves legend Steve Bull, former Birmingham, Villa and Albion hotshot Kevin Phillips, Walsall boss Dean Smith and Wales manager Gary Speed.

Event director Terry Moutter said: “We’re absolutely delighted at the quality of the clubs involved.”

Tickets for any day of the show cost £7.50 for adults and £4 for concessions, while it’s £20 for a family ticket.

Tickets are available via the show’s website at www.totalfootballshow.com or by contacting the Total Football Show on 0121 277 4568.
