Wolves are weighing up a new contract offer for Kevin Doyle to reward him for his talismanic efforts.

Reports in Ireland suggest Wolves are keen to sit down with the £6.5million striker amid interest from a clutch of clubs, including Arsenal, German clubs Schalke and Borussia Dortmund, with Italian giants Juventus also monitoring the situation.

Doyle is halfway through a four-year deal signed when he became Wolves' £6.5million record signing from Reading in the summer of 2009.

Since then the 27-year-old has become the focal point of their attack, mostly leading the forward line on his own.

The Republic of Ireland international missed the dramatic climax to the season through injury, as Steven Fletcher took over his mantle as top scorer, finishing with 12 goals.

Doyle scored six times in the Premier League last season and it's that more modest scoring rate which may preclude his chances of moving to an established top-four club.

But Irish sources maintain there is strong interest in the player.

Meanwhile, Wolves today swiftly dismissed reports linking them with a £900,000 move for Monaco midfielder Lukman Haruna.

Reports say Dynamo Kiev have had a £1.3million bid accepted for the 20-year-old Nigeria international.
