Wolves want to clear space for new signings by selling three of last season's discarded players this summer.
The club are eager to find outgoing deals for giant Austrian striker Stefan Maierhofer and midfielder Greg Halford, both of whom are back on the Molineux payroll next month with a year remaining on their contracts.
And it also looks like the end of the line for young striker Sam Vokes, whose loan spell at Bristol City was ended by a torn hamstring before spending time at Norwich.
Chief executive Jez Moxey said: "Players will have to be moved on in order for new signings to come in."
Maierhofer spent last season on loan to German second division outfit Duisberg, who are unable to meet the £1.3million fee Wolves are seeking for a player bought for £1.8million a little under two years ago.
Halford looked as if he was in the process of reviving his Wolves fortunes during last summer's pre-season, but ended up spending the year on loan at Portsmouth.
The 26-year-old is keen to make a fresh attempt to regain favour at Molineux but the most likely outcome remains a permanent transfer to Portsmouth, where he impressed last season.
