Wolves bring in season smart cards

Wolves today announced plans to introduce ‘smart cards’ to replace season ticket books.

Following the successful pilot in the Billy Wright Stand, the club has announced a six-figure investment in access control to fully automate entry into Molineux with ‘My Molineux’ smart cards.

From the start of next season, the Jack Harris and Steve Bull Stands will be fully automated, while the Stan Cullis Stand will include the new technology for the start of the 2012-13 season.

All season ticket holders will receive smart cards, as opposed to traditional season ticket books, and match-to-match supporters will receive tickets with a special bar code, which can be placed in the turnstile card readers.

Wolves head of ticketing and membership Lynne O’Reardon said: “We’ve received excellent feedback, with Billy Wright Stand supporters reporting smoother and quicker access and I’m delighted the rest of our supporters will benefit.”

Meanwhile, non-Early Bird purchasers can renew their season tickets from today.

Both renewals and summer season ticket prices have been frozen, from last summer’s prices. This follows the decision to freeze Early Bird prices for the third year running.

Existing adult holders behind the goals can renew for £493 at the summer rates, while new applicants will pay £522. Existing season ticket holders have until Friday June 10 at 5pm to renew their current seat.

Supporters can renew by calling TicketLine on 0871 222 1877, online via www.wolves.co.uk or at the ticket office.

Existing holders will be able to relocate their seat, to unclaimed seats from Thursday June 16 from 10am until Saturday June 18 at 1pm.

Supporters wishing to pay via instalments can download the application form on www.wolves.co.uk and returning it to the ticket office by Friday June 10 at 5pm.
