Wolves 2 Blackburn 3

Wolves secured a third season of Premier League football on a day of the highest drama against Blackburn at Molineux.

Mick McCarthy’s side stayed up by a point after Roman Pavlyuchenko’s late winner for Tottenham beat Birmingham to relegate Blues along with Blackpool, who lost 4-2 at champions Manchester United.

Stephen Hunt’s 87th minute goal to make it 3-2 had put Wolves out of the bottom three.

But nerves were shredded after Wolves were ‘relegated’ at half-time, as they trailed 3-0 before Jamie O’Hara pulled one back on 73 minutes.

First-half goals from Jason Roberts (22), Martin Olsson (38) and Junior Hoilett (45) seemingly put the game beyond Wolves.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy made one change from the side that beat Sunderland 3-1 last week.

Matt Jarvis was recalled at wide right after missing the last two starts for Adlene Guedioura, who dropped to the bench.

In a lively start, both goalkeepers were forced into action in the opening minutes.

After Jermaine Jones’ low drive flew well wide, Stephen Ward’s cross-shot saw Blackburn’s Paul Robinson sprawl to his left before Wayne Hennessey smothered Junior Foilett’s centre after the striker rounded Jody Craddock on the byline in the penalty area.

Wolves responded through Ward, who saw a powerful volley blocked by Chris Samba.

They had plenty of defending to do though, and after Steven N’Zonzi’s header was easily saved by Hennessey, there were a few nerves in the home camp when Karl Henry was booked for bringing down Hoillet 25 yards out.

Thankfully for Wolves, Jermaine Jones’s curling setpiece flew well over.

McCarthy’s men hit back to force a header wide through George Elokobi from O’Hara’s corner.

But they fell behind to an unfortunate stroke of luck in the 22nd minute.

And it was old boy Roberts who got the decisive touch, diverting Michel Salgado’s angled drive away from Hennessey after Hoilett beat Elokobi on the right and pulled the ball back into the path of the right-back.

Wolves were suddenly second best and they perhaps had World Cup referee Howard Webb to thank for keeping Henry on the field after the skipper foolishly shoved Jermaine Jones in the chest.

The home side were struggling to keep the ball against physically bigger opponents, who were playing much the better football too, sparking frustration among the already tense sell-out crowd.

And Rovers increased their lead in the 38th minute with a superb goal from Olsson, who met the ball full on the volley from the edge of the area to give Hennessey no chance after Robinson’s long kick was headed away by Craddock.

Worse was to follow for Wolves after Blackpool equalised at Manchester United.

Wolves were falling apart and dangerman Hoilett in particular was having a field day.

He teased and tormented the defence before rolling the ball inches wide, with Hennessey getting a glove to it to concede a corner.

From the flag-kick, Steven Fletcher nodded Samba’s header off the line.

Samba was then booked for blocking Jarvis getting to Ward’s through ball before Craddock flashed a rising left-footed effort over.

But Wolves continued to look shaky at the back and they conceded a third goal in the first minute of time added on when Hoillet latched onto a flick-on from Roberts and beat Craddock and Elokobi before lashing past Hennessey.

There was still time for Craddock to be booked for shoving Roberts to the ground before the half-time whistle sounded to a deafening chorus of boos around Molineux.

As things stood, Wolves would be relegated on goal difference.

McCarthy made an attacking switch at the break, bringing on Sylvan Ebanks-Blake for Michael Mancienne, who needed treatment right at the end of the first half.

The switch meant Ward went to left-back, with Elokobi at centre-half.

Wolves started the second half brightly, creating two good chances in the opening minutes.

Stephen Hunt should have done better when he planted a free header wide from Jarvis’ cross after the wingers swapped flanks.

Then Ebanks-Blake sent a powerful rising drive over.

But there were suddenly cheers around Molineux as news filtered through that Tottenham had taken the lead against Birmingham.

That meant that, as things stood, Wolves would be safe on goals scored and Blues would go down with Wigan and West Ham.

Wolves needed to concentrate on matters on the pitch though as Blackburn went desperately close to a fourth goal in the 56th minute.

Only the fingertips of Hennessey prevented Roberts’ goalbound effort going in after Kevin Foley missed Brett Emerton’s low cross to leave the former Albion striker one on one.

There was a long delay to allow treatment to Ward after he was left grounded and groggy after a collision with Salgado.

There was better news coming through elsewhere though after Manchester United equalised to make it 2-2 against Blackpool as Ward came back on.

Wolves boosted their survival hopes through their own means in the 73rd minute when they pulled a goal back.

O’Hara was the scorer, lashing home first-time from 15 yards after peeling away from a crowd of players to meet Hunt’s smart pass.

A minute later Robinson showed superb reactions to tip over Fletcher’s glancing header.

And although Manchester United went 3-2 ahead against Blackpool, Wolves slipped back into the bottom three on goal difference after Blues equalised at Tottenham and Wigan took the lead at Stoke.

The drama was almost unbearable and with the crowd chanting ‘we only need one more’, Wolves duly delivered in the 87th minute as Hunt curled home a spectacular effort after Fletcher flicked on.

Hunt was swallowed up by a swarm of gold shirts as Molineux erupted in scenes of wild jubilation.

As we approached the fourth minute of time added on, there were more roars around the ground when Spurs went 2-1 ahead against Blues to leave Wolves safe on goals scored.

With both teams now safe, they were happy to play out the final seconds in a stand-off before the final whistle, which was greeted by huge roars all around the ground.

    What an afternoon!!!

One we could have done without, and shouldn’t have needed to endure, however great that we are still in the PL.

Let’s not forget that it was our extra point and Man Utd, and Spurs keeping us up.

Now I hope that Morgan reflects on this season and sacks McCarthy before the season starts.

We have the opportunity to get a new one before the season starts, who can also clear out the players bought by McCarthy who have very rarely played for the team.

As I have said all season we were not scoring enough goals, and we are where we are because of the Manager.

We were poor again today, if you read henry’s article in the Express yesterday he didn’t know what result was wanted that is our captain.

Let’s hope that Mancienne is desptched back to Chelsea, SEB is restored to the attack, and we have a new LB & 2 CB’s along with a new Captain.

McCarthy was poor at Sunderland and has carried on at Wolves, forget getting us up etc, I am talking of last and this season he is the worst Manager in the PL

    Will it happen probably not.

    we are premier league

that was an unbelievable afternoon, yes we relied on other results, yes we were lucky, but credit has to go to Mick McCarthy for keeping us in the premier league for 3 seasons in a row. He is often knocked for his transfer dealings but goals from Fletcher and Hunt in the last few games have proved crucial to our survival. This has definitely been the hardest PL to stay up for some time. Let’s not forget we beat Man U, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool. We deserved to stay up.
We obviously need to strengthen next year and mainly in defence:

    In
    Bassong
    Dann
    Warnock
    O’Hara
    Palacios/Gardener
    Out:
    Berra
    Craddock

    Very harsh on Mick.

We stopped up for 2 seasons on the trot, and got more points this season than last. It’s just been a crazy season.

Dave Jones was worse than Mick in the prem.

We need to play Milijas and buy O’Hara.
    Drop Henry.

Could do with signing someone like Richard Dunne. And nick Upson or someone similar. He’s not fantastic but better than Berra and Mancienne.

    Get Fletcher and Seb upfront.

Jarvis and Hunty on the wings.

Get a few new defenders in, i think Mick can do the job again.

    Well,

what an un grateful miserable bunch you are !!
Here is our best manager since the seventies. He took over when we had sold all our “decent” players and didnt even have a full squad. He builds a young, hungry and exciting team. We won the championship- MANAGED BY MM (then you all moaned Blues lost it, we didnt win it ?). We built on our promotion and the group of players who won promotion stepped up to the plate and did brilliantly to keep us us – Managed by MM. In the close season we showed some ambition and brought in Fletcher and Hunt who have both done well (OK other signings didnt work). During a magnificent premier league season we have played some brilliant football, had our first england cap (another MM signing) beaten United, Chelsea and City at home and won at Anfield. We finished with more points than last season and scored more goals. We were the onlY club in the league not to make a loss, and you lot, you moan – priceless, perhaps we should bring back Hoddle, Mghee, Lee, Taylor or Jonesy ?? as I said, PRICELESS. Well done Mick.

We live on to fight another season!!

It’s just a shame that The three Ms don’t recognize where we’re falling short.

The reason why we’ve been in the bottom three for nearly the last 2 seasons is because we’re not good enough where it matters. It’s all very well for the three Ms to say we’ve played some good football this season and for McMarthy to quote Fergie – saying that we’re in a false position etc.

But we’ve been in the position we’ve been in for the last two seasons because we are far too easy to beat (20 defeats this season) and until McCarthy was forced to have to put Fletcher in the team, we don’t score enough goals!

Whether it be naivety, stubbornness or blind loyalty (I think its a mixture of all three), McCarthy fails to see that the defense is not good enough and that we need some quality experience to add balance to the team – for we are little more than a team of tryers at the moment.

Don’t listen to the lunatics, I’d rather be Wolves than Portsmouth, Birmingham, West Ham or all the other overdrawn basket cases. We survived by being prudent, with a hard-working team and a very competent manager (half the madmen on here would have had Ince or Alladyce in – big queue for their talents, I notice). My only disappointment is the demise of Blackpool who have been more of an asset to the Premiership than Wigan, I feel.

Came from Tampa to see this game. The first half was embarrassingly awful. To be 3-0 down at the half having not engineered a single shot on goal against a team that hardly played any better than we did was shocking.

It was unbelievable to me that we could put on such a poor display in front of a home crowd full of hope.

Our second half was much improved but the end result was fair as we dug too deep a hole to climb out of. Our goals were very good especially the second one by Hunt.

Let’s be clear I am really pleased we have kept our place but the constant clinging on we have endured is simply not good enough. Where do we go from here? What funds are going to be available to improve a squad that simply is very fortunate to remain in the Premiership? There are simply too many players that need to be replaced in all departments of our game. Never mind the Coach who is tactically inept.

Unable to see the game because of time difference but fantastic to hear that we had lost yet won. Many thanks to Man U & Tottenham. Staying in the premiership requires not only a team of tope quality players but the mentality to succeed. By losing against Blackburn proves the current team (including MM) don’t have sufficient of both requirements so amazingly they have another chance next season. Difficult decisions have to be made by Mr Morgan to rebuild yet again before August arrives but is the money there?

If the answers yes! go see a shrink. Micks side is neither reliable or consistent and that worries me.We have been crying out for a quality central defender for donkeys and the two he as played Stearman and Berra are absolute dross but did he sought it in the transfer window ? no. He’s a cheap budget manager that suits Morgan and balance the books Moxey That defence is no better than at the start of the season and the guy who says he’s the best manager since the 70′s wants his head tapping do you remember John Barnwell 1980 mate? No 2 absolutly spot on MM is not a premiership manager. He has made numerous signings that were well below the standard of this league.and wasted at least £30 million.
He should unload the dross but he will keep his favourites WARD, HENRY, and sell or give away the players he has fallen out with ie JOMES, HAMMEL. But we all know Mr MORGAN will not get rid of him.
His reported interest in Billy SHARP worries me how is his signing going to make us a better team. He will probably play him upfront with KEOGH.
I despair we need to progress and make sure we are not in a dog fight again next season.
So MR MORGAN say thank you and get an experience manager who can manage a premiership team.

A game that was our season in a nutshell really… dreadful for half of it, with players unable to string two passes together and the opposition looking likely to score at any time. Then, at the last, when it really mattered, the Wolves came on strong and did enough (just). Typical of a season in which we beat Man U, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool, but Wigan and Blackburn did the double on us and we only got a point off West Ham.
In short, a game that gave ammunition to both the “happy clappers” and the “Mick out” brigades. Yes, we had to rely on other results and some, including those down the road, may call us lucky, but all I can say is that, I’d rather be where we are than the Bluenoses or Blackpool. Talk about how we make sure we’re not in the same position next year can start tomorrow but today I’m just glad to say WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE!!!

Where do some of you fans think Wolves should be??? top 4??? really. Wolves are in the prem after many years, and things have changed a lot. We have one of the smallest attendances and we finished fourth from bottom. I think Wolves should be going for higer, but maybe 12th place at the best. Its going to take years to rebuild our squad to get higher than that, yes some teams may finish in the top half sometimes when they have small teams (ipswich, Blues last year) but its not sustainable. 3 M’s have done well, doing it the right way. Next year we need to but some defenders, im sure that everyone on here will agree with that. but we cant attract top players, or afford with attendances of less than 30,000, not without risking the long term future of Wolves. Dont wan to see what happened before Sir Jack rescued us.

Here are some observations for you about our Manager.

He is not good enough for the PL

The crowd booed the performance at half time.

We lost the game, the defence was a shambles again, we conceeded 3 goals another on the 45 Min.

We stayed up with thanks to Spurs & Man Utd.

Henry was nearly sent off again, lost his head completley, he should have been subbed at half time.

Fletcher would not have played the last few games had Doyle been injured, we wouldn’t have had the points we finished with.

We did not know our team from the first game to the last, tactics have been poor, substitutions have been poor.

    Players were bought injured.

2 CB’s LB, have been needed all season.

Henry is not a captain, or leader.

No true goal scorers played for the majority of the season.

Looks like Hammill has fallen foul of our Manager.

I am delighted that we have stayed up, but if you want the same again then you will get it with McCarthy in charge, unless Morgan can sit him down and explain the above to him, as I truly believe that is why we were nearly relegated.

Well done Wolves for staying up, but lets not forget we have lost an incredible 20 games this season. I never want to go through another day like this again. MM has I’m afraid got to go, if it wasn’t for Doyle getting injured he would never have played Fletcher whose goals have kept us up, i confess that O’Hara’s signing was great, and with the late good form of Hunt these 3 players have been the difference.
But remember this game was a must win game before kickoff, and the first half summed up all that this wrong with this team, the defence is woeful, how MM has not managed to sort this problem out I just don’t understand it, remember that the season we won the Championship we still lost 10 games, and the back 4 are virtually still the same. It’s a miracle that a team in the Premiership can lose 20 games in a season and still not get relegated, at the end of the game Morgan looked bewildered and mentally exhausted, surely he now must realise that MM has taken our club as far as he can, but somehow I think we will be stuck with MM for at least another season.
Please don’t think I don’t appreciate what MM has done because I do, but Morgan needs to not let his heart rule his head, and needs to make that executive decision now, so we can move to the next level, because if he doesn’t then we will without doubt be in this same situation again next season. Everybody have a great summer.

Now when were safe and can look forward to a third season in the premiership, you state we were lucky to survive, and that we wouldnt be here had it not been for other teams. At the end of the day we played the same teams as everyone else, and we gained a point extra than our rivals that were relegated. As ive said many times, the league never lies after 38 games played, and after 38 games we have survived on 40 points, through merrit, not luck.

Mick claimed that he would be happy with a 17th finnish place because he wasnt stupid enough to think that we would be comfortable in only our second season. Yes why was Mancienne there ? Whatever strengths he has being our last man in defence is certainly not one of them. Blackburn are typical of the teams that bully us out of games with big athletic players, after his fantastic game dominating the Baggies defence in the air(and everywhere else) even Fletcher was living off scraps of possession against Samba & co. The current team don’t do holding games at all, it’s only when they attack all out from the start that they look at all dangerous and can actually beat good footballing sides. Only when we keep the ball in the opposition’s half do we look anything like a Premiership team, yesterday Blackburn took goals at their leisure – thank god they didn’t need more to stay up or we would have been hammered.
Mick McCarthy is the most successful manager that Wolves have had in decades, Fergie had banners telling him to go after 3 years at Man. Utd. The very best outcome for Wolves from this season would be that Mick McCarthy would learn from his experience and become an even better manager.
Keep the managerial consistency, but please, please recruit some talented defenders – we can’t go through yesterday’s anxieties again.

Not a McCarthy fan at all, I think we have retained out PL status in spite of him not because of him, however I don’t think we should get rid of him, just yet, I think he should be allowed to have another crack at it next season, after all he’s kept us here for 3 seasons, but we need to learn some serious lessons from this season, firstly how to defend!!!

He does however need to have a decent summer.

Personnally I’d send Manncienne back & Mujangi Bia, Halford, Jones should all be released, Kightly to be loaned out for 3 months to get some football into him & we need to recruit defenders, at least 3, I’d like to see Warnock & Upson amongst them & we should do a deal to get O’Hara on board.

2006 – Mick gets appointed Wolves manager and claims that we will be promoted in 3 seasons time. Many moaners laugh at the statement anc claim the man who has the worst prem record, would only take us down.

2009 – Wolves are crowned championship title winners, and we are promoted into the premier league, in the 3 season Mick claimed it would take us. Some fans claimed that Mick had done his job and now needed to go in order to get a decent premiership manager in, as Mick had already been proven to be surpluss to requirements in the prem.

2010 – Mick keeps us up, despite the numpties claiming we would finnish with a record low number of points in the premiership. The numpties then spout nonesense that we only stayed up because there were 3 teams worst than us, and with the quality coming up the next season we would be found wanting with Mick still in charge.

2011 – Mick claimed that he would be happy with a 17th place finnish as he knew all to well how many teams have been affeted by second season syndrome. Throughout the season wolves were in the relegation zone, despite most pundits and experts claiming we were playing too good to go down. Many of the numpties jumped on the bandwaggon and called for Micks head proclaiming that we are going down with him in charge. some also claimed that our transfer business was poor and we should have bought players like West ham and Birmingham, (remind me again, where did they finnish?). Wolves stay up, on 40 points, in one of the most competitive seasons of the premiership ever.

Mick has proven you numpties wrong time and time again, and hopefully for the good of this club, will continue to do so in the years to come. Maybe next year, Mick wont be good enough for this club because were not challenging for Champions league football yet?

I’m very relieved to still be a Premier League club for next season but until Hunt scored that goal it looked bleak, I couldn’t believe how bad the team played in that first half and the quality difference between the two sides was unbelievable. Team spirit has pulled us through – and two favours from Spurs & Man Utd – however this team needs serious improvement, the back four isn’t good enough and we need another quality midfielder but having said that have we got the money?
I don’t think we have and so it’s more of the same next season but can we honestly expect to beat Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool again? It was a titanic effort to stay up winning 11 games, however the down side is that I fear the Wolves board will allow survival to cover up the cracks, we have lost the most games and drawn only 7. Wolves can beat the topsides this season under the under-dog tag but when they were expected to get results not just from fans but local and national media they seem to crumble. The big clubs are going to spend big it seems and who knows the QPR billionaires might spend big too and then who ever joins them with Norwich from either Reading and Swansea who I think could be already bit stronger sides in defence compared to Blackpool, either way its going to be tougher season if we can’t improve our team in some way. At the very least we have another year in prem, thanks to all at Wolves but Mick does get some money he has spend it more wisely because I doubt he’ll survive next time if we spend most of season in bottom 3.

    23) JB, you are an absolute disgrace making those comments towards someone who obviously passionately cares about Wolves, The people criticising people for moaning are the reason that this club won’t go any further. People moan because they care and are frustrated, not because they want to slag off the team, but if you can’t see that MM is a dreadful, tactically inept and extremely lucky manager then I feel sorry for you. 20 years ago, Wolves fans would have stood up and protested about the awful standard of football served up by MM and TC, but no not you lot, typical New Premier League Football Fans, you turn up and happy clap for dear life. If that’s the height of your ambition, poor team with a poor manager, then you all deserve each other.

IT”S SO SAD for (91 n.w. wolf) and those who think the same. No aims in life, no ambition, no effort to better themselves. Watching TV in front of a black and white set, flying a paper plane because they didn’t realise that you fly around the world in jets, keeping their meat packed in ice because they didn’t know that a freezer has been invented and travel to work on a horse and cart because they didn’t think that cars were made in the Midlands, on and on and on. Only by the Grace of God have we stayed up this year. It had nothing to do with MAGIC MICK or his team talks and if you guys are happy with staying up on 40 points every season or waiting till the last 5 minutes of the 38th match then I’m very sad for you. Why don’t you start up a social club and call it “AMBITIONLESS” and have MAD MICK as president and clipboard as secretary.

Ukrainian Cossack – If survival had nothing to do with Mick, then our position shouldnt have had anything to do with him either. You cant blame him for all the negatives then not give him credit for all the positives.

Well now its Monday & I can see clearly with the beer vision gone !
To me it’s clear next season will be more of the same with MM in charge . Win at HOME to survive & we’re 3 nil down by half time !
I’ll give MM credit that he is a good motivator & gets the best out of the players but that’s all . Whenever we come up against a team as much up for the fight as ourselves & can’t rely on guile we get footballed off the park .
What a great comeback you happy clappers shout well Blackburn had already done their job . Baggies never turned up & Sunderland was already safe & injury crippled . We have been very LUCKY I’ll take it don’t get me wrong but we might not get the rub of the green another time . All teams can point to injuries but it’s a squad game & it’s Mick’s squad .
Now onto bottom line Moxey & all you happy clappers say oh well done job done Jez £9 millon profit Blah Blah . To me that just says we could of afforded the wages of Scott Dann amongst others & still made a profit , shock we could of even finished higher & made even more money .
Well if MM is gonna stay as he surely will at least back him with some money JM . I know we spent £20 odd million in the summer but we need to pay premier wages first & foremost .
Calm down happy clappers we’re set to make £80 million by staying up & we have no debt so hardly gonna do a pompey are we ?
Asset stripping relegated clubs is fine if you go for the right players , Blues defence was not their problem it was their lack of goals .
So MM will be on the phone for their front 2 then .
Well I’ve enjoyed these boards whether we agree or not , be we “numptie” or “happy clapper” we all just want the best as Wolves Fans .
I wish you all well for the summer & look forward to next season .

    WOLVES AY WE !

    Mr Chairman,
I saw the anguish you were going through during that match and you are quite right you aged 20 years.
Surely you don’t want anymore of that next season, so move McCarthy out, with our thanks, and lets move up to the next stage.
Blackpool’s squad was far inferior to ours but finished just one point below us. That was the result of GOOD POSITIVE management.
Blackpool and their manager were a breath of fresh air with very limited resources, so it can be done.
Negative Mick cocked up big time yesterday. Waited till we were 3 – 0 down before he put another forward on.

111 Cats – you are the one with the problem. We have just had the most successful couple of years in the last 20 (the last 30 actually). I have been a season ticket holder for all but one of the last 25 seasons (my protest against the truly dire football under Hoddle) and I will continue to support MM and TC against all the people on here who for some reason think the top 4 is our natural level.

    119 NOisy,

Well done for someone else to realise were not a top 4 club. We are going to be fighting against relegation next year. Yes i will always beleive we are better than the Blues and West Ham, but really are we??? both are big clubs with big support. we are a bottom 6 club, not top. Yes i have ambition for the club to improve, but its going to take time, and not just a couple of seasons. We have been a better club since we got promoted with Jones, and we are now even better. Even if we get relegated next year, so long as you can get promoted again soon after it still means the club can grow. i hope we can stay in the prem again the season after next, then maybe we can start looking towards mid table. but will we ever be as big as the likes of Liverpool or Tottenham again??? cant see it myself even with Sir Alex or Mourinio as manager!!!!!!!!

WELL DONE Wolves. You showed guts and character to get the job done. You deserve great credit. We must never leave it so late again and have to kick on next season pushing for 50 points. We need a couple of strong charcters who are leaders to add to the squad. If Johnson is signed it would be excellent. I would have Mancienne as well. O’Hara is an absolute must. I feel Jones will depart (what went on there?), which is a shame. I think he is a fine midfielder. Oh what relief, let the joy start to seep through………………

    Completely agree with you.

I think this lot who are happy to watch such dross are dazzled by the illusion that is the Premier league.

They are obviously too busy eating their prawn sandwiches to realise how poor mm is.Any decent manager, realising he had signed a great striker in Fletcher would have played him mucgh earlier and could have negated our relegation risks!

Noisy- I too, have had a ST for the last 25 years, but unlike you, I bought one under Glenda, but just didn’t go. I think MM is clueless and serves up awful football, but still renewed my St becuase the thing you seem to forget is we support the team and not the manager.

No one person is bigger than the club.

The gods have looked down on our club and smiled at us…. well If not weve had a large slice of luck added to the crucial wins at west brom and sunderland.
I have never experienced anything like this a a wolves fan. all I know is that mick has delivered when I believed he would not.I am very proud of the players for their 2nd half performance. That tells me a lot about the spirit in the camp.

After the euphoria has gone, time for some careful thinking and reflection. Some of the squad are not good enough and need to leave the club.

We must concede fewer goals, and be more creative. we must have good cover and competiton for all positions

    124,
that’s a very concise mail. I like that very much. Someone posted earlier and said we’d had a fantastic season and they wished the “moaners” would recognise this. What can you do when people think this way? Win against Chelsea Man U & Liverpool, lose the rest and they’ll say we were unlucky. Agh well. All we can do is carry on being true fans and support the club. Managers come and go, likewise Chairmen eventually. Let’s live in our dreams and let the happy clappers live in theirs. Thank god for Barcelona, they know how to please their fans and wouldn’t dream of cheating them in order to save their blushes.
