Time to map out a plan for Villa's future

Wolves not selling out for the derby
Friday 6th May 2011, 11:30AM BST.
Wolves were today facing the prospect of empty seats for Sunday’s biggest Black Country derby.
Around 1,000 tickets still remain in home areas for Molineux’s first Premier League showdown against Albion, who have sold out of their 3,000 allocation.
Despite being locked in a relegation battle all season, many home games have been either sold out or very close to it this term, with Wolves boasting the highest stadium occupancy rate in the West Midlands at 96 per cent.
Some fans may be put off for safety reasons and the fact the derby is televised live on Sky at a 12 noon kick-off time.
But others may be voting with their feet following the recent slump, which has seen Wolves take just two points from a possible 15.
Either way, Wolves legend and vice-president Steve Bull has joined manager Mick McCarthy is reminding fans their input is crucial.
The club-record scorer goalscorer said: “It’s going to be a brilliant atmosphere and with Wolves needing the points, the fans are going to be vital.
“They’ve been very good down here and they understand the situation and what is at stake.
“I think they will be right behind the team from the off and trying to push them on to get the victory.”
Bully also urged the players to make the most of the atmosphere.
He said: “The players have to relish the occasion and want to play their football.
“They have to view the Birmingham point as a vital one and improve on it on Sunday.
“I still think it’s in Wolves hands to the extent that if we were to win two games, we’d stay up. I’m still confident it will happen.
“The players know it’s their futures at stake and they know how important it is to stay up for the city and the people of Wolverhampton.”
The tickets remaining are on general sale to Wolves fans with a Supporter Number and purchase history.
Wolves season-ticket holders can also purchase additional tickets via the Ticketline on 0871 222 1877 or visiting the ticket office.
The game is all ticket and there will be none available on the turnstiles. The ticket office is open until 5pm today, 9am-1pm tomorrow and 9am-noon on Sunday.
