Karl Henry glad to see Zamora back
Thursday 21st April 2011, 12:04PM BST.
Wolves captain Karl Henry has thrown down the welcome mat to Bobby Zamora and insisted the Fulham striker will be back in the England squad soon.
Zamora faces Wolves on Saturday for the first time since suffering a broken leg in a challenge with the Molineux skipper in Wolves’ 2-1 defeat at Craven Cottage in September.
The England international has since made a full recovery from the injury with three goals in four Premier League games – his latest outing being his 350th League appearance – since his return to senior action in February.
And that has been applauded by Henry, who is pleased to see Zamora fully fit again, even though he poses a significant threat to Wolves this weekend.
The Wolves skipper said: “I’m delighted to see him back, even though he’s clearly going to be a threat for Fulham on Saturday.
“It’s never nice to see any player pick up a broken leg or another nasty injury.
“I’m really pleased to see him back looking sharp and scoring goals and I’m sure he’ll be back in the England squad soon.”
Henry admits Wolves need to be much tighter on Zamora than they have been in their last two outings, after heavy defeats against Newcastle and Everton.
He added: “We need to tighten up after leaking goals in the last two and we’ll be looking to do that.”

Looking forward to Guedioura returning the favour on Sidwell

Lets hope Guedioura welcomes Sidwell back.
Sidwell’s ‘tackle’ was a foul, Henry’s tackle was not, why the focus on Zamora??
London media, London club.
1. Vindaloopi – nothing happening in Sandwell today?

OK normally I am so wound up by the likes of 6 I feel I can only say positive things to cancel them out, but this is my balanced view.
I spent 20 years with a season ticket outside the top div (except for 1 season of let down). For this reason I feel a great debt to MM for winning us the Championship (not praying we finished 6th and not 7th) every season. He has not thrown money at the team in Golden Tit style, but spent some of what the success he has achieved has brought in. He took over from undoubtedly the worst manager the club had had in 20+ years.
At the end of last season it was clear that we needed to strengthen upfront (too reliant on Doyle) and at LB and CH (no pace). To do this he bought Fletcher (looked promising but injuries and rustiness a let down) Moyokoulo and van Damme (both bad in their own ways). So we have not improved the way we hoped this season. This has left us struggling defensively again and probably 50/50 to stay up.
Now we have had 2 bad results in a row and the way the team fell apart after the first goal went in v Everton was alarming. If we lose again on Saturday it will be very hard for us to recover psychologically and although we look at some of the weak teams as chances to gain points, I am sure they will be looking at us as their ‘one win to keep us up’ (Blues and Sunderland especially).
So whatever you think or write on hear Fulham is the biggest game for a long time so please can we give it everything on and off the pitch and come May we can argue about how to move forwards.

Sir billy,
this is my opinion only. I dont want to watch crap football down the wolves.I have no problem with you never being negative and being a happy clapper, that is your opinion. We differ, thats all.You take the route of
“lets get behind the lads no matter what”
Which is 100% bang on!!!
But the thing is, this gets teams relegated because you have the same mentality as mick. All you here on this site is,
Next game is a 6 pointer (or words to that effect)
I’m sick to death of hearing it week in week out, and i’m sorry but Karl Henry is NOT AND NEVER WILL BE a premership player but because Mick thinks differently, he is our club captain?????
Even you Sir Billy can’t agree with Mick on this one, surely?
And by the way i am a 100% Wolves fan and always will be no matter what, i’m just not goint to accept this pile of crap that is running WWFC at the moment.
If the club is focusing 95% of its time on being in the black then for god sake, TELL THE FANS THE TRUTH and give them the respect that they deserve.
IMO the best possible thing that could happen to Wolves is that Mick leaves and joins a new club and takes Henry and Ward with him, But this will never happen because Mick is here till He decides to leave.
I hope to god we stay in the Prem but if we do, then What? if Mick stays then we can look forward to this crap next season too!!!
Whoopydoooooo!!!!
Can’t wait

vidaloopi, zamora hattrick? what like the four defoe and co are gonna put past your lot, lol.
yow’m havin a laff, if your so fed up of wwfc and not bieng told the truth, why dont you ask them directly? i am also not happy watching wwfc struggle last season and this, but unless there is anybody else willing to put in at least 40 million of their own money in to the playing side then nothing will change. utw. lets hope we can beat fulham and survive.

12 – Absolutely agree. Whatever happens this season and whatever division we are in next season what will change? We will still have a poor manager who cannot decide whether to mould the system around the players or the players around the system, he will still sign poor / underachieving players and will always value hard graft over craft. Of course i want to see players work hard but i also want to see the team at least try to be organised, disciplined and play with some flair. I just don’t see how this will happen with MM at the helm.
I don’t understand this mentality that because he won the chanpionship and got us into the Premiership he has a job for life. Equally baffling is the idea that if we stick with him long enough he will eventually get it right. Dream on.
I admire his honesty in post match interviews and i always chuckle at his comments but he is not and never will be a premiership manager.

8 and 12 put ya handbags down and kiss and make up! This is a time for unity from club to fans.

12- I accept that you are entitled to your opinion, but how long have you been coming? If you think that the current team is rubbish, what did you think of Hoddle’s team, or Colin Lee’s, or McGhee’s? Yes our defence is still weak but we have a fine midfield (including Henry) and good strikers.
