Wolves reserve centre-back Danny Batth has become the latest player to leave Molineux on loan after joining Sheffield United before today's 5pm deadline.

The 19-year-old, who had a successful 18-match spell at League One Colchester last season, has joined the Championship club until January 3.

Six-foot three Batth, who was voted Young Professional of the Year last May, made his senior debut in the Carling Cup second round win against Southend in August, playing the full 120 minutes.

The Brierley Hill-born stopper was one of the seven academy graduates to sign professional terms at the end of the 2008-09 season and is out of contract this summer.

Batth is the fifth player Wolves allowed to leave on a temporary move before the loan window closed at 5pm today.

Left-backs Scott Malone and Matt Hill are at Burton and Barnsley until January 3, when Greg Halford's stay at Portsmouth has been extended to.

Ashley Hemmings' youth loan at Torquay has been extended until May 28, while Andy Keogh is at Cardiff for the season.

Hill returns to Oakwell after a hamstring injury ended his first loan spell last month.

Goalkeeper Carl Ikeme is back at Wolves after his 93-day loan at Leicester.
