Jody Craddock: Wolves’ points will come

Jody Craddock is convinced his young Wolves team-mates will ignore the whispers of doubt as they continue the search for a results revival.

Craddock, currently recovering from a thigh injury, has taken the chance to watch the side from above as Wolves have tackled Chelsea and Manchester United without him.

And the most experienced and longest serving player in Mick McCarthy’s ranks refuses to be alarmed by the second-from-bottom League position.

“It’s been frustrating for everyone how well we’ve been playing without getting results,” says Craddock.

“It was happening while I was playing and it’s been the same over the last couple of games.

“I watched the United game and the lads played really well, especially in the second half when we created enough chances to win the game.

“The boys got forward really well and both our full-backs scored goals which was fantastic and very encouraging for the team.

“We just need to keep that level of form going and have the confidence and the belief that we can get the points we need.

“Without that belief we will struggle – but that’s not going to happen here.

“We are playing well and we’ve got the belief that results will turn for us.

“There’s nothing wrong here and we just need to keep the faith and keep working as hard as we can.”

Craddock’s return is still a subject for debate but he believes competition for places at the back just got a little tougher.

He was impressed with Steven Mouyokolo’s debut at Old Trafford and added: “Full credit to Richard Stearman. He came straight in and did really well after my injury. And Steven played well on Tuesday too.

“He’s had a tough start here with a few niggling injuries but he’s got his fitness up now and found his way.

“Competition is great for the club.”
