Sam Vokes set to rejoin Bristol City
Tuesday 12th October 2010, 9:01AM BST.
Wolves striker Sam Vokes is set to rejoin Bristol City on loan after regaining fitness.
The 20-year-old tore his hamstring on his Robins debut in the 3-0 home defeat by Millwall on the opening day of the season in August, after signing a five-month deal at Ashton Gate.
But Bristol City manager Keith Millen is looking to welcome Vokes back from his parent club in the coming days and fast-track him toward a first-team return.
Millen said: “We’ll have to assess his fitness on Thursday. Sam’s been training with Wolves for a few weeks now.
“We’re looking to schedule a reserve game for the end of the month and he’ll be involved.
“It’s great to have him back.”
