It’s par for the course for Wolves

Wolves today put the disappointment of three successive defeats to one side as they took out their frustrations on the golf course.

A total of 36 teams joined chairman Steve Morgan, manager Mick McCarthy, his staff and players at the club’s annual golf day at De Vere Carden Park.

The entire Molineux playing squad attended today’s event, the third in succession at the hotel and golf complex owned by Morgan.

Wolves midfielder David Edwards said: “It’s always an enjoyable day.

“I think a lot of the boys are out of their comfort zones when they get to the first tee and it’s a lot more nerve-wracking then playing football.”

Jody Craddock also spoke for the entire Wolves dressing room by backing Adlene Guedioura to make a full recovery from his broken leg.

The Algeria international has been ruled out for between four and six months after fracturing his tibia in the 2-1 derby defeat against Villa.

Craddock and the whole squad sympathise with the likeable 24-year-old, who suffered the injury in a late challenge from Steve Sidwell.

The Wolves defender said: “It’s very sad for Adlene but unfortunately it’s part of the game.

“I’m sure he’ll come through it and become stronger for the experience.”
