Lessons learned for Christophe Berra
Monday 27th September 2010, 9:55AM BST.
Wolves defender Christophe Berra has admitted there are lessons to be learned after defeat in the West Midlands derby against Villa.
Berra was outjumped by Emile Heskey for the winning goal yesterday, just as Wolves had got themselves back in the game through Matt Jarvis’ equaliser after Stewart Downing’s opener.
And the Scotland centre-back has vowed that he and his team-mates will learn from it and come back stronger.
He said: “Heskey is very difficult to stop when he gets on a run and he’s a great header of the ball.
“We’ve just got to learn from it. The only positive we can take is that at least we’re playing well.
“We were shocking in the first-half but we were different class in the second-half. We took the game to Villa and they were struggling.
“They were hanging on until they had that counter-attack when they got the ball into the box.”
