Wolves’ Matt Jarvis will make Villa clash
Wednesday 22nd September 2010, 12:30PM BST.
Wolves received a pre-derby boost today as it emerged Matt Jarvis will be fit for Sunday’s showdown against Villa.
The England hopeful lasted just 54 minutes before coming off with a tight groin in the 3-1 defeat at Tottenham last Saturday.
But boss Mick McCarthy has revealed the flying winger is winning his fitness battle in the countdown to Wolves’ first derby of the season.
“I’m sure Jarvis will be ready, I’ve no real doubt about that one,” said McCarthy.
The Molineux chief also hopes to have Jelle van Damme and Dave Edwards fit. Only Ronald Zubar, Stephen Hunt and Michael Kightly are sidelined.
