Geoffrey Mujangi Bia today set out his goal to follow Adlene Guedioura and join Wolves permanently as he prepares to return to parent club Charleroi.

The £2m-rated winger, who is on a season-long loan from the Belgium top flight side, hopes to catch the eye as boss Mick McCarthy takes his squad across the Channel for tomorrow night’s friendly arranged as part of the transfers between the clubs.

Six months on from joining Wolves on his initial loan, the 20-year-old has already laid down a marker with a fine solo goal in the 3-0 win against Bohemians in the opening friendly last Saturday.

And he insisted he is ready for the Premier League after adjusting to the physical demands of playing in England.

“I’d like to sign for Wolves – if I didn’t want to make the move at the end of the season permanently, I’d go back to Charleroi or another team,” said Mujangi Bia.

“But I like it at Wolves and I want to stay.

“Nothing has been said yet because it’s more about what I do this season.

“Signing for Wolves isn’t really on my mind now – it’s more about playing and enjoying the football, the team staying in the Premier League and only after that will we talk about upping sticks and moving.

“You have to prepare well to play in the Premier League so you need to be physically strong which is why we do lots of weights and running.

“I’m confident I can make an impact in the Premier League now.

“I want to be able to become an important player for the team.”

Mujangi Bia, who can play in either wide position or through the middle, aims to become a crowd pleaser at Molineux.

“Hopefully, the fans will see me getting my chance so I can show them what I’ve got, in particular my attacking play,” he said.

“If I’m on the pitch, I’ll do my best for the team and hopefully offer us plenty going forwards.

“Fans love to see flair and excitement but I need to be well prepared to do it in the Premier League.

“It will be difficult. But I feel I’m ready for that.”
