The 58-year-old has long been the brunt of fans' frustrations at The Hawthorns with his safety-first style of play often leaving home supporters disgruntled.

But Pulis also had to endure the wrath of away supporters in Saturday's 1-0 loss at Bournemouth, with a lack of creativity upsetting those who had travelled all the way to the south coast.

Albion are currently in the middle of a takeover with Guochuan Lai expected to complete his purchase of the club this week.

"I think, as a club, we are going to be in for a tough few months," the Welshman said.

"I'm being as honest as I can. We all need to get together. We are the highest ranked team in the West Midlands and lets stay that way. We need the supporters.

"Let's get together and push the club on, it's a great club, and we've got to work to make sure we maintain the position we are in."

Baggies fans are hoping Lai's imminent takeover will mean funds are available in January for marquee signings. But with four months until the window opens, Pulis believes everyone has to concentrate on the here and now. "The most important thing at the moment is concentrating on what we've got and getting those players to play to a level that will get us results," he continued.

"Then once the window opens in January, having a better run at it."

Meanwhile, Pulis has told Saido Berahino to get his head down and back amongst the goals after another transfer window past without the forward moving on. Berahino has been linked with a move away for the past 18-months with the club rejecting a bid from Tottenham as well as approaches from Stoke.

"The important thing for Saido is for him to get himself fit, playing well and scoring goals," Pulis added. "That's important for him personally, never mind the football club. He's got a point to prove and he's got to do it with us over the next three or four months."
