Sheffield Wednesday, Burnley, and Hull are all interested in the 25-year-old, who endured a frustrating season at The Hawthorns just gone.

The Baggies want £5m for the winger, who was bought from Wigan for £4.75m in January 2015 and still has two years left on his contract.

McManaman didn't start a single Premier League game after September last season, and picked up an ankle ligament injury in January that required surgery.

He was offered a glimmer of hope when Stephane Sessegnon was released at the end of the season, but will probably be moved back down the pecking order now Matt Phillips has arrived.

McManaman and Phillips are currently at an Austrian fitness camp with the rest of the squad.

After a tough opening few days, the team went white water rafting yesterday on a team bonding exercise.

The 5.30am session has been dropped for today because the club play Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow in their first game of pre-season.

"The rafting was very good," said Phillips. "It was great to get out and do something a little bit different.

"We were all in our little teams too so that helped with the bonding.

"It wasn't as easy as people may think, it was quite a tough upper body workout but at the same time it was very enjoyable.

"I feel as though I have settled in well and the first few days have been good," added the former Queens Park Rangers player.

"I'm enjoying it. It's been nice to come away and get to know all the boys, they have been very welcoming towards me which is nice.

"There's definitely a good bunch here so it has been very easy to settle in.

"I know Mozza and Fletch from when I have been away with Scotland so it's nice to come into a group when you are familiar with some faces, but as a whole everyone has been spot on."

The coaching staff are pleased with how quickly Phillips has managed to gel with the squad, and they've been pleased with his fitness levels.

"Matt's settled in really well, everyone's been impressed with him," said fitness coach Matt Green.

"We put him in a lower running group earlier in the week but since we've seen how strong he's been he's actually moved up into a higher group."

"Things are going really well," added Green.

"We're a few days in now and all the lads are accustomed to the environment.

"Me and all the other staff are really pleased with the condition they've come in and how they've been working."
