Scotland international Morrison this week put pen to paper on a new two-year contract, which includes a further one-year option in the club's favour.

The 30-year-old has made 278 appearances, with 28 goals, during a nine-year spell with the Baggies. His deal had been due to expire on July 1, but will now run until the summer of 2018.

Brunt, a year older at 31, also came on board in August 2007 and is tied to Albion until the end of next season. He's played 314 games, scoring 39 goals, for the club.

The two have known each other since they were in the same youth-team at Middlesbrough, with Brunt first spending a spell at Sheffield Wednesday before joining West Brom.

And Morrison has revealed that a testimonial was among the topics that came up during contract negotiations - and revealed it could tie in as a joint celebration with Brunt.

Morrison said: "At the moment, we have had a gentlemen's handshake on the idea and we will look at it in more detail further on.

"Not many players do that in this day and age and it would be nice to celebrate the moment for charity. I will have a chat with 'Brunty' and see if he is up for it."
