The deep-lying play-maker will join Neil Dewsnip's squad for their two-match tour of South Korea at the start of June.

It caps off a great fortnight for Field, who turned 18 on May 8, came on for his Albion debut against Liverpool a week later, and was named Academy Player of the Season in the club's end-of-year awards.

Albion head coach Tony Pulis brought Field into first-team training alongside fellow teenagers Jonathan Leko and Tyler Roberts.

Impressed by the midfielder's vision with the ball, Pulis said: "Sam has gone from being knee-high to a man in a short period and he's a good player, he sees the picture, and he can play in that position.

"I'm excited by the fact there are players there, what we've got to do is give them the direction and the opportunity and the chance."

England U18s take on South Korea at the Icheon City Stadium on Friday, June 3 and Sunday, June 5.
