Dele Alli banned for three games following Claudio Yacob punch

Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli has been suspended for three games for punching West Brom's Claudio Yacob in the stomach.

The 20-year-old England international accepted an FA charge of violent conduct and has now been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Alli was caught by television cameras swinging a blow at Yacob's midriff during the first-half of the Baggies' 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane on Monday.

Referee Mike Jones did not see the incident, which meant it was referred to a panel of three former elite referees, who decided it was worthy of retrospective action.
