Tony Pulis claims his goal-shy West Brom team have been creating chances but just not sticking them away.

The Baggies have scored one goal in their last five games, and after picking up just a solitary point on that run, they've now slumped to 15th in the Premier League.

It's the club's lowest position since the start of October.

Pulis's side have only managed seven shots on target in the last five games, and four of those came against Watford.

But the Baggies head coach reckons his team are creating enough.

"We've missed chances, we've missed opportunities," he said.

"We missed two blinking penalties [against Watford], so we've had the opportunities, we just haven't put them in the back of the net.

"At Manchester City, Saido [Berahino] could have scored a hat-trick so things are not dropping for us.

"It happens, but they're a great group of lads who have worked really hard this year to get the points we needed."

Pulis rested Salomon Rondon for Thursday's trip to Arsenal but he was forced to bring the striker on at half-time.

And the Baggies boss hinted that Berahino would be dropped for Monday's trip to title-chasing Tottenham.

Spurs wanted to buy the 22-year-old striker last summer, and when Pulis was asked if Berahino had more to prove against his previous suitors, he replied: "If he plays."

Mauricio Pochettino's team are just five points behind league leaders Leicester, who host Swansea on Sunday.

"It's going to be a tough game, Spurs have been absolutely fantastic this year," said Pulis. "They're very well coached, and they've got some outstanding players.

"They will push Leicester all the way."
