The difficulties of officiating were highlighted at the weekend when Jonathan Moss received criticism for his decisions in Leicester's 2-2 draw with West Ham.

Video replays for referees are going to be trialled in the FA Cup next season, but challenges from the dug-out are not expected to be part of the experiment.

Pulis was disappointed his side didn't get a penalty in their recent 2-1 defeat at Manchester City, and he's called for the choice to refer major decisions to a video referee.

"Managers should have calls during the first half and second half on big decisions," he said.

"If we'd have called the one second half I think we'd have got a penalty and that would have put us 2-1 up.

"They're big decisions, they're game changing decisions, and they're the decisions I think we should have a call on.

"We've all heard the technology we've got around. You can put big advertising up on the boards, clubs can make money on that so I just don't see why they shouldn't do it.

"They do it in rugby league, and they do it brilliantly.

"For major decisions around the box, things that affect a game of football.

"I'm not complaining about referees making wrong mistakes on tackles or incidents, they're always going to do that and we accept that. We get frustrated when wrong decisions change matches and we've got to eradicate that."
