The 32-year-old Dane signed a two-year contract at the start of this season.

Baggies boss Tony Pulis brought him in on a free transfer from Manchester United to cover Boaz Myhill when Ben Foster was out with his long-term knee injury.

When Foster returned to the side in January, Lindegaard was sent out on loan to Championship side Preston North End.

Even though he's still got a year left on his contract, he doesn't think he'll ever return to The Hawthorns.

"I don't see myself back at West Brom, I don't think West Brom see themselves having me back," he said.

"I can't see why it should end up being like that - that would be because we have a contract that we have to respect.

"But they've been good to me since Ben Foster got fit.

"They've been positive in this whole process about what's going to happen next season, whether it's here or some place else.

"I can't see myself going back there."

Lindegaard has established himself as Preston's first choice keeper and didn't rule out a permanent move to Simon Grayson's side in the summer.

"It's definitely a possibility," he said.

"We have a dialogue about it and we are getting closer and closer to each other. It's a big possibility."

The 6ft 4in Danish international has made just one appearance for Albion, a 3-0 defeat away at Norwich in the third round of the Carling Cup.
