Dave Kemp sees an FA Cup boost for Albion

'Staying in the FA Cup will give everyone a lift,' according to West Brom assistant boss Dave Kemp.

Albion's injury-ravaged side travel to League One club Peterborough tonight for a fourth round replay.

One win in the last eight games has heaped pressure on boss Tony Pulis, but victory at London Road will help dispel the gloom.

However, with so many first-team players carrying knocks, it could be an unusual starting line-up.

Craig Dawson, Jonas Olsson and Gareth McAuley are all doubts; Chris Brunt, Jonny Evans, James Morrison and Callum McManaman have been ruled out. Alex Pritchard and Sandro are ineligible.

Kemp said: "We've had more people in the treatment room than we've had on the training pitch so our preparation hasn't been ideal, in that respect.

"Plus, we lose the two lads we took in the transfer window for tonight's game as they're not available to play. We will give ourselves as much time as we can to get players onto the pitch.

"It really will be a case of seeing who is available, up until the last minute."

Albion scraped through the third round via a replay at Bristol City, and the coaching staff hope the team are able to draw on that experience to get through tonight.

Kemp admitted: "We're doing it the hard way. We're getting the maximum out of it, albeit not by choice. Peterborough will be a tricky game.

"They are a decent side, play to a good level and will have the home fans behind them. We need to try to overcome that.

"They push people on, they're expansive and ask questions of you. We'd like to prepare for that in the ideal way and need to cause problems for them, too.

"We did very well at Bristol City – we've shown good character a few times this season, but we need to show the quality we didn't have at Newcastle.

"If we can do that we will be back in business. Staying in the FA Cup will give everyone a lift."
