Tony 'Bomber' Brown, Cyrille Regis and Ally Robertson joined up with the left-back to meet supporters at the Hawthorns yesterday.

The quartet, who between them have more than 1,950 appearances for the Baggies, signed copies of the '300 Club' souvenir book, which has been produced by the club to commemorate players who have turned out more than 300 times in Albion colours.

Brunt became the 44th player to reach the milestone earlier this season and the achievement will be further recognised next month at a special dinner, featuring even more players in the 'Club'.

"It's not really something I set my sights on, you just want to come and do well," said Brunt, who joined the Baggies in a £3million move from Sheffield Wednesday back in 2007.

"Fortunately enough we have progressed in that time, become a Premier League team and I am lucky enough to be part of that.

"It's been thoroughly enjoyable and it is nice to still be here. It's nice to think people still feel I can do a job."

Brown, the Baggies record appearance holder after scoring 279 goals in 720 competitive games, reckons Brunt's achievement is becoming increasingly rare in the modern game.

"He has played 300 games for the club and he has been a great servant, an exceptional player," said Brown.

"He has brought a bit of loyalty to the club but his performances have been outstanding as well. He has been a great asset down the left-hand side with his delivery and the goals he has scored.

"He is top notch for me. It is nice to see the fans come out and it is nice to be with two of my former team-mates, in Cyrille and Ally, as well as Chris.

"When we get talking together, football is the same language. It never changes, from era to era. You still talk about the same things as when I played."

"It was nice to get together and talk about the game."
