Five different clubs are interested in signing Saido Berahino from Albion, according to boss Tony Pulis.

However, none of them have made a formal offer for the 22-year-old striker yet.

Stoke are the latest club to be linked with Berahino, who hasn't started a game since October.

Pulis managed the Potters for 10 years during two separate stints, and still has a good relationship with chairman Peter Coates.

He said: "There's about four or five clubs who might be interested, and Stoke might be one of them."

All talks are in embryonic stages at the moment, and when Pulis was asked if he'd received any bids for last season's top scorer, he said: "No. If and when anything happens, we'll all talk about it then because again it's just pure speculation."

Albion host Bristol City in the third round of the FA Cup today, but Pulis isn't worried about making Berahino cup-tied.

He said: "If I feel it's right to play Saido from the start, I will play him, if I feel he's better coming off the bench again I will do that. It's just what's right for the team and the football club.

"That's very important for everybody to understand. It's about the club. It's about the Albion.

"It's not about anybody else, it's about this football club."

Tottenham Hotspur made four bids for Berahino in the summer, which were all turned down by Albion chairman Jeremy Peace.

Since then, the former England under-21 forward has struggled to break into Pulis's team and a number of clubs have been linked with the out-of-favour sharp-

shooter.

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Albion are still trying to hammer out the details of Serge Gnabry's return.

"He's on loan at West Brom, a year-long loan," said Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

"We have a commitment with West Brom.

"If they want to cancel the loan, they have to contact us and speak about it. But at the moment, we are not there."
