Darren Fletcher: Callum McManaman won't win any penalties unless he changes
Albion captain Darren Fletcher says Callum McManaman won't get any penalties throwing himself to the floor.
McManaman tried to win a penalty five minutes before the end of Boxing Day's defeat at Swansea, but referee Roger East didn't give it.
The winger has been struggling to get into the side since head coach Tony Pulis criticised him for diving back at the start of September.
"Cal's made the most of it and that's why it's not given," said Fletcher. "Everyone can see that, he throws himself.
"I think sometimes an unnatural movement, you don't get it. Maybe if he tried to stay on his feet, take the hit, and go down he might get a penalty but when you throw yourself like that you're not going to get them.
"It's been the story of the season really. We've had four stonewall penalties not given and two given against us that haven't been penalties.
"That's six penalty swings that have been very costly in games.
"There's nothing we can do about it.
"We've got to keep going, we're an honest bunch of lads and we've just got to keep our heads down."
