The Liverpool manager celebrated wildly in front of Pulis after a 96th-minute equaliser and refused to shake the Welshman's hand. He then criticised Albion's perceived agricultural style of play after the game.

"I can easily say sorry for everything I said after the last game because I am emotional and Tony Pulis is similar," said Klopp. "It was not for me a bigger problem. I really forgot to shake hands, that's all. If we meet today it's no problem to say sorry and talk about what happened. I have big respect for his work, but it's not easy to switch on the lamps and switch them off again. I wanted to go to my team after the final whistle."

Pulis had earlier responded sarcastically to Klopp's initial criticism, using some statistics to make his point.

"As a football club we apologise to Liverpool for playing three more longer passes than they did," he said, before claiming today's game against Bournemouth was a tougher fixture.

"We've got a big game on Saturday, a game that we think will be more difficult than the Liverpool game."

"Bournemouth are well coached, they defend well and their last five goals have all come from set plays."

Pulis is still waiting for an explanation from referees' chief Mike Riley on how Jonas Olsson's goal at Anfield was given offside.

"Let's be fair, we scored three goals," he said. "How they've got to that decision we still haven't found out because the linesman never put his flag up and the referee never gave that decision. We've sent a letter off and we're still waiting to find out actually why they decided to disallow it."

Meanwhile, Albion have been fined £25,000 and Spurs £20,000 for failing to control their players after James McClean's tackle on Mousa Dembele. Albion's fine is more because the club had a similar breach in the last 12 months.
