Albion defender Chris Brunt called it 'justice' that Arsenal's Santi Cazorla missed a penalty.

The left-back gave away the spot kick for a challenge on Alexis Sanchez in the box, but he reckons the Chilean went down too easily.

Fortunately for Brunt and the Albion fans, Cazorla slipped as he kicked the ball, spooning his shot over the bar.

"I think the penalty's a bit soft," said the Northern Irishman.

"Obviously I was delighted to see it go over the bar.

"I think we've been due a bit of luck and we got it.

"He got a bit of contact and chucked himself to the ground to be totally honest.

"That's my point of view but to be fair to Mark [Clattenburg] the angle he was at it probably did look a lot worse than it was because I sort of fell over him.

"He's never getting the ball anyway, it was a bit soft in my opinion.

"You could say it's justice he hasn't scored it.

"On another day he puts it in, we lose two points.

"You get some you don't get some, this time we got lucky."

Brunt picked up his fifth booking of the season for the penalty incident and so misses the next game against West Ham.

He was presented with a signed framed shirt before the Arsenal match from Albion chairman Jeremy Peace to celebrate his 300th appearance for the club.

The former captain, who set up James Morrison's goal with a floated free-kick, was 'delighted' to pick up a win after back-to-back defeats.

"I think especially after the last couple of results, and the home form hasn't been great, so it's nice to get a win," he said.

"First half we played pretty well, probably deserved to be going in at half-time in the lead but second half obviously we were under a bit of pressure.

"They were trying to come back into the game and we ground it out well."
