Brunt, who joined in August 2007 as a left winger, reached the milestone against Man United at Old Trafford.

The 30-year-old has been a great servant to the club, and was captain of the side before current skipper Darren Fletcher joined in January.

"Three hundred games and counting Chris, well done, fantastic achievement," said Peace. "Thanks for all you've done for us over your time with us since 2007.

"Some great goals, my favourite was the one you scored against Southampton that got us back into the Premier League.

"Other great goals besides that, but that's a memorable one for me."

Brunt started life out at The Hawthorns on the left wing but has also played in central midfield.

Albion's current head coach, Tony Pulis, moved him to left-back alongside fellow Northern Irish defenders Jonny Evans and Gareth McAuley.

"I know you'll not give much away and deep down you'll be very proud," said McAuley.

"It's a great achievement but you've been here a decade so if you didn't reach that then there would be something wrong."

The trio qualified for Euro 2016 with Northern Ireland last month.

"Can't wait to see you in France for five weeks lad," added McAuley. "You can get the teas in and you're getting the room bill."

James Morrison has made more than 250 appearances for Albion and like Brunt, joined in August 2007.

"Alright big neck, just Mozza here wishing you all the best and congratulations on 300 appearances," said the Scot. "Some achievement and it's been a pleasure playing with you and hope you get many more."

Current coach and former Albion defender Darren Moore said: "I'm sure there's another 300 in the tank mate."
