A calm moment of clinical finishing from Manchester United's Jesse Lingard broke the deadlock.
Collecting Chris Brunt's headed clearance on the edge of the area, Lingard controlled the ball with his studs before curling an effort inside the far post.
It was the 22-year-old's first goal for United on his first Premier League start for the club.
