Peter Odemwingie will miss out on a reunion with Albion tomorrow because of an ankle injury.

The 34-year-old, who controversially drove to QPR in a bid to complete his exit from The Hawthorns, will be a spectator at the Britannia Stadium.

Odemwingie was a goalscoring hero at Albion, not least for his hat-trick at Molineux in a 5-1 win against Wolves.

But, after being exiled from the first-team picture following his failed attempt to force a transfer, he left for Cardiff in 2012 before moving to Stoke four months later.

While Odemwingie misses out, Jon Walters is likely to start after reiterating his desire to stay at the Britannia Stadium.

Negotiations over a new contract have all-but stalled with Pulis even linked with a bid to take Walters to The Hawthorns while Norwich had a £1.5m bid turned down last week.

But Walters said: "I want to stay. I've been here five years, this is my sixth season and it's the longest I've been at any club.

"When you've been here so long you get to know not just the players, even though there's been a huge turnaround, but the whole club and everyone involved.

"I've got a lot of friends here."

Walters has scored 51 times for Stoke since joining for nearly £3m from Ipswich in 2010, remaining a consistent name on a much-changed team-sheet.

"I'll leave it with my agents and lawyer," he said. "I can't really go too much into it.

"In my eyes if they valued me it would be there and it's not there so … talk's cheap when it comes to things like these and I'll leave it for the men behind the scenes to sort out. Of course I'd be disappointed if I had to leave the club."
