Main backers Quick Books jumping ship to Aston Villa left Albion up in the air, although they are hoping to land a £2million-a-year deal soon.

The Baggies have produced their next strip for on the road, regardless, with the iconic calligraphic-style lettering that last featured back in 1986.

It adorned the jerseys from 1976-77 right through to 1985-86, including the late 70s when the likes of Laurie Cunningham, Derek Statham and Cyrille Regis were in their pomp.

Adidas have again produced the kit, which will be on sale this Friday, with buyers promised they can add the sponsor to the shirt free of charge when the deal is sealed.

The distinctive logo will also feature in red letters on the black shorts. The kit is completed by black socks, which includes further red trim.

The shirts are produced using Clima Cool technology, which provides head and moisture management through fabric ventilation.

Adult shirts cost £49.99 with junior shirts costing £39.99. Adult shorts cost £24.99 and juniors £21.99.
