West Brom were warned Liverpool could be "doubly dangerous" on Saturday because of their FA Cup exit at the hands of Aston Villa.

The Baggies return to the Hawthorns to face Liverpool, after ending their two-match losing run with a morale-boosting 2-0 success at Crystal Palace last Saturday.

And assistant boss Dave Kemp believes the Anfield side are likely to be desperate to return to winning ways this weekend.

He said: "They've had a disappointment and they will be asking themselves the same questions as we were after Leicester and QPR.

"But that could make them doubly dangerous. We're coming off the back of a positive result and a positive performance and the Liverpool game doesn't look as bad now as it did a week ago.

"You think 'we can't beat Leicester and now we're playing Liverpool' but football is a rollercoaster and our win on Saturday and their defeat on Sunday changes the perspective."

Kemp and boss Tony Pulis have a reasonable record against Liverpool from their time at Stoke, with three wins, five draws and four defeats to the Reds since the Potters have been in the Premier League.

And Kemp is looking to continue it this weekend, saying: "We drew 3-3 last year when we were with Palace in what was a bit of a major game.

"We've got a pretty good record against Liverpool and we want to continue that."
