Defender Jonas Olsson reckons Albion's battle-hardened veterans will see them to safety despite a horrendous Premier League run-in. more

Olsson is fit again and ready to play his part in the final six games of the Baggies' season, starting with tomorrow's trip to Crystal Palace.

And the Sweden international, who is a veteran of several fights for survival in his seven years at The Hawthorns, believes the experience in the squad will be vital.

"It's very hard straight after defeats because it hurts, but we've all been there before, even Fletch (Darren Fletcher) and Joleon (Lescott), who have played for big clubs.

"They've been involved in games where they lost in the last 10 minutes, so we have been there before.

"It hurts for a few days but then you have to look ahead and start preparing for Palace because we can't feel sorry for ourselves or put ourselves down.

"We need to go again and hopefully get that win next week."

Back-to-back defeats to QPR and Leicester have left the Baggies still in danger of being dragged back into the danger zone with six tough fixtures to play.

But Olsson says they should not over-analyse their run-in.

"I never feel safe until I'm mathematically safe but we were in a similar situation last year and it's dangerous to look at each game and say 'we have to win this one' or 'if they draw, we need to win this'.

"If you do that you go away from your gameplan. You should just approach games like you've been doing and like you would if it's any other game and not start chasing games or goals.

"We should do the basics well, like we've been doing under this manager and we will find our confidence from that.

"These last two games have been disappointing, of course, but we know what we're doing.

"We have played two good teams. We plated Leicester and QPR and they're fighting for their lives and we shouldn't ignore that.

"Always when you lose against bottom teams it's always said you have always under-performed.

"Obviously we're not satisfied with our performance but also credit to Leicester.

"They did well and they had a few chances, and when they got them they took them."
