West Brom winger Callum McManaman has targeted a recall in Saturday's crucial game at Crystal Palace as he looks to play his part in the fight for survival.

The former Wigan wide man is keen to be involved at Selhurst Park after making his comeback from injury in Tuesday's Birmingham Senior Cup semi-final defeat at Nuneaton.

McManaman completed 62 minutes as the Baggies' second-string lost on penalties, but he is now keen to play his part in the first-team to repay the club for their patience.

He said: "Can I play on Saturday? Hopefully yes, as long as everything goes well with my recovery with my heel and my foot.

"If I can come through that then everything should be fine. I felt good out there, my heel felt good and my foot was all right too"

"It was great to get some minutes under my belt. I am feeling fine after the game so I am pleased."

The former Wigan wideman, who signed in January for a fee that could rise to £4.5million, has not played since the 2-0 FA Cup defeat at Villa in early March due to a foot injury.

He had been dogged by injury problems in his final months with the Latics and has been unable to establish himself so far in Tony Pulis' first team.

He has made just four Premier League appearances, including three starts, in almost three months at the Hawthorns and he says he now wants to make up for lost time.

He said: "That is the aim for me now, it feels as though I haven't really got going yet.

"I want to get back in the side, get a run of games under my belt and show everyone what I can do."
