Defender Jonas Olsson could make his first-team return for West Brom in the FA Cup on Saturday after emerging unscathed from his first game in four months.

The Sweden international could figure in Albion's fifth-round clash with West Ham at the Hawthorns.

It would be his first action since he underwent Achilles tendon surgery before Christmas.

The 31-year-old completed 90 minutes in Albion's Under-21s Premier League goalless draw at Brighton on Monday.

And head coach Tony Pulis said: "Olsson got his first game yesterday at Brighton and came through it, so that's a massive bonus.

"I might even be thinking about him at West Ham, so we're really pleased with that."

Summer signing Jason Davidson also figured at Brighton, making his first appearance in Albion colours since returning home from helping Australia win the Asian Cup.

The Under-21 result extended the youngsters' unbeaten run to eight league games in the Premier League Division Two and left them just one point off the top of the table.

Pulis will, meanwhile, welcome goalkeeper Boaz Myhill back to the substitutes' bench for for tonight's Premier League game against Swansea at the Hawthorns.

He missed the last two games with a gash caused by a dislocated thumb, but striker Victor Anichebe could miss out after limping off with a groin injury just 18 minutes into Sunday's 2-2 draw at Burnley.

That could open the door for Saido Berahino to return to the starting line-up, after being left on the substitutes' bench at the weekend.

Pulis said: "I won't have any problem starting him or leaving him out again. There's no problem with me, it's a case of picking the right team for the game and trying to win it."

New captain Darren Fletcher is expected to make his home debut against the Swans.
