West Brom announce Callum McManaman signing

West Brom have completed the signing of Callum McManaman from Wigan for around £4.75m.

The 23-year-old winger has moved from Wigan on a three-and-a-half year contract, with a 12 month option.

He finalised personal terms and completed the final stages of his medical this morning.

McManaman, who will wear the No.19 shirt, becomes Tony Pulis's first signing since taking charge at The Hawthorns earlier this month.

"I'm delighted we've got Callum and I believe he will be an exciting addition to our numbers," said Pulis.

"Callum is a player who can improve out options and I am really looking forward to working with him."

McManaman added: "I'm really made up to have joined.

"When the chance came to move to West Bromwich Albion, and return to the Premier League, I couldn't turn it down.

"This is a great move for me and I hope the Albion fans will get to see the best of me.

"Albion are a great club, with a good tradition. I can't wait to get going."

McManaman was a youngster with Everton before joining Wigan as a youngster in 2007.

He made his first-team debut in 2009 and spent three months on loan at Blackpool in the 2011-12 campaign.

The following season McManaman made 30 appearances for Wigan, scoring six goals in total and three in the FA Cup, including one in the club's semi-final success at Wembley as Wigan reached the final of the prestigious competition for the first time in their history.

And hye was named man of the match in the final as the Latics claimed a famous 1-0 victory over Manchester City.

McManaman went on to make a further 44 appearances last season, finding the net four times.

He has continued his scoring form this term, netting five goals in 23 outings over the first half of the campaign.
