Chris Brunt's return gives Albion a dilemma

West Brom boss Alan Irvine admits the return of captain Chris Brunt has given him a welcome selection dilemma for tomorrow's trip to Queens Park Rangers.

Brunt is back and ready to go having recovered from a hamstring injury which kept him out of the last two games.

But with Silvestre Varela having impressed in last week's win over Villa, Irvine must decide whether to bring the captain back at the expense of the Portuguese winger.

He could maybe even play both together, with Brunt moving into the middle and another player making way.

Of his selection issue, Irvine said: "It's great. I'm absolutely delighted to have Chris back and to have Silvestre ready to play.

"I wish we had that very problem from the very start of the season. It would have given us more options and ways of approaching games.

"They can both play together. Chris has played in that wide left position and gives us certain qualities playing there and Silvestre is a different type of player and gives us different qualities.

"Chris has grown up being a central midfield player and can certainly play that role very effectively.

"I certainly don't think we will be in a position where they won't both play at the same time."

Irvine admits Albion must build on their recent progress at Loftus Road, after expressing hope their season has reached a turning point.

He added: "I hope this is the turning point for us. It was nice to have got the results we have done, we obviously have to build on that."
