When West Brom were beating Villa at the Hawthorns in the Premier League's only West Midlands derby, Indian children were 'boing boing-ing' them on.

Midfielder Craig Gardner netted his first Albion goal against his former club to earn a deserved derby win over 10-man Villa.

And the kids were ecstatic in Mumbai, where the club have been expanding their profile at the Barclays Premier League Live event.

The Baggies are among a cluster of top-flight clubs presenting to the increasingly football-mad audience in the country.

More than 100,000 visitors attended the weekend and the Baggies crew will offer the chance to interact via a one-on-one football challenge and other activities.

They are the only club arranging to stay on in Mumbai to develop their 'Pass It Forward' programme, launched in Delhi in January.

The Albion Foundation and India-based Youth Football International to deliver coaching over three days, working closely with the influential Non Government Organisation (NGO) Salaam Bombay.
