The Baggies striker addressed the media today after receiving his first full international call-up yesterday.

And the candid 21-year-old admitted he will need to move to reach all of his targets – although he insisted he is in no rush.

He said: "I just take each game as it comes. I have an ambition to play in the Champions League and be involved in the England seniors in big tournaments like World Cups and Euros.

"I will just take each game as it comes, but I have a big vision and hopefully I can reach my goals."

Asked whether he would leave the Baggies to achieve his ambitions he said: "If that's what it comes to yeah, it will have to be that.

"But obviously I appreciate what West Brom have done for me and I am working each day to win the club as many games as I can. Right now I am focused on West Brom."

Head coach Alan Irvine, who sat alongside Berahino, said: "We all know certain clubs are competing for the Champions League spots every year.

"It's important for any young player to go when the time is right for them. Who knows the future?

"Right now Saido is in a good place, playing week in, week out for a team giving him benefits to play to his strengths. There is an opportunity to learn here and become a better player.

"It is important young players don't go to the wrong place at the wrong time. Saido needs good people to advise him if those situations come up."

Meanwhile, Irvine will be without Silvestre Varela and Jonas Olsson for Sunday's clash with Newcastle as the pair approach full fitness after injury. Craig Gardner is suspended.
