Claudio Yacob to miss Albion's United clash

Midfielder Claudio Yacob will miss West Brom's Premier League clash with Manchester United at the Hawthorns on Monday night for personal reasons.

The 27-year-old has been granted compassionate leave to return home to Argentina and tend to an illness in the family.

He has yet to start a Premier League game for the Baggies, anyway, with Craig Gardner and James Morrison currently preferred in the middle of the park.

Yacob made his peace and pledged his future to the club in September after a poor pre-season, which added fuel to rumours he would leave.
