Hawthorns officials have already received a firm offer from an unnamed Continental club for the Argentina international.

And indications are they are ready to let him leave for the right place.

They are already sizing up potential replacements, with Southampton midfielder Jack Cork known to be on their list of possible targets.

Head coach Alan Irvine is also a known admirer of former Everton man Jack Rodwell, who is looking to kick-start his career after an unhappy spell at Manchester City.

But Hawthorns sources have previously played down suggestions of a move for Rodwell.

Yacob made an eye-catching start to his Baggies career after signing in the summer of 2012.

But he has struggled to find his best form since suffering a serious hamstring injury midway through his debut Premier League season.
