West Brom and England goalkeeper Ben Foster has rubbished rumours he was looking to move away from the club after signing a new four-year deal.

Foster was being touted earlier this summer as a possible replacement should Tottenham number one Hugo Lloris leave the London club.

But two days ago the 6'4" stopper pledged his future to the Hawthorns for a further four years, and has waved away any suggestion that he was ever looking to leave.

Speaking at the Baggies training camp in Sacramento, he said: "I've been here for three years now and it feels like home, it always has done, this is where I see myself pretty much finishing my career.

"It was absolutely an easy decision, there was no doubt whatsoever. People were talking about this club and that club, but it's not something you even talk or think about.

"Me and the family and the kids are all settled - even with my agent there were no conversations about talking to anybody else.

"When the club approached it was simple, getting it signed and sorted as soon as possible, and it was literally probably a week of negotiations and that was it, it was done and signed and thanks very much."

Foster became the first Albion player to feature in a World Cup for 44 years when he kept England's only clean sheet of hue he tournament in Brazil in the draw with Costa Rica.

He has been back training with his club teammates for around a week following a holiday, as he was given extra time off following the competition, and says the mood in the camp is very good and still improving.

"We've managed to get a bit of a good feeling back," he said, "especially after last season's disappointment, there were bad feelings at the club.

"With the signings we've made already, we've smashed our transfer record, and I think Graham Dorrans signing has been a big boost."

He was also full of praise for new midfielder Craig Gardner, who has been settling in with his new teammates following a free switch from Sunderland in July.

Foster said: "People like Craig Gardner. He's a local lad, on match day on a Saturday you know he's going to give you 110 per cent, that's just his style anyway but especially now that he's back home, he fights so hard.

"He even got a red card in a friendly - I don't think it was a red card - but he really will give you everything and you should see the smile on his face, he's so happy to be back home.

"He's such a good lad. He's like another goalie to be honest, he's been hanging round with me and Boaz all the time, we all went to play golf at Pebble Beach."
