Claudio Yacob is set to hand Albion another major injury boost ahead of Saturday's clash with Tottenham by declaring himself fit to return.

The key midfielder is expected to join captain Chris Brunt and full-back Billy Jones in making himself available to face Spurs in a game that could see the Baggies all-but confirm their Premier League safety.

But Zoltan Gera could be sidelined for up to a month after picking up a hamstring problem in Saturday's 1-0 win at Norwich.

Yacob has been out since early March with a hamstring injury but has been training fully for more than a week and is likely to be in Pepe Mel's squad for the game, in which victory would take his side to 35 points and virtually ensure another season in the top flight.

Brunt made his comeback from a medial knee ligament injury two weeks ahead of schedule as an over-age player for the Baggies' under-21s on Sunday and is in contention to start against Tottenham at The Hawthorns.

Jones also returned for the under-21s after being out with a hamstring issue.
