Former Albion striker Peter Odemwingie today waded into the Saido Berahino saga – telling the youngster to quit the Baggies.

Berahino's long-term Hawthorns future remains in doubt despite the 20-year-old dismissing suggestions that he could press charges against team-mate James Morrison following their dressing-room bust-up.

And Odemwingie today took to Twitter, predicting a repeat of his own ugly fall-out with Albion if Berahino does not leave at the end of the season.

Albion last night issued a statement in which Berahino dismissed claims he was looking at legal action after a changing room brawl on Saturday.

But the youngster's attitude has already alienated some of his more senior colleagues and raised question marks over his future.

Apparently responding to an earlier statement in which sporting and technical director Richard Garlick claimed dressing-room altercations were not uncommon. Odemwingie said: "It's not uncommon Garlick said.

"I see a repeat of my situation if he doesn't leave this summer. Senior pros haha."

Doubts about 20-year-old Berahino's long-term future are now rife in the wake of an ugly episode which has left fans worried about the team's unity in the scrap for Premier League survival.

West Brom's Saido Berahino scored the winner for Albion against Manchester United at Old Trafford back in September

Just how much involvement Berahino will have against Norwich at the weekend will be the first clue as to how swiftly a working harmony has been restored by head coach Pepe Mel. But news of Saturday's bust-up with Morrison has been swiftly followed with speculation about the striker being targeted by Arsenal.

News flooded the media yesterday that the 20-year-old was considering taking legal action against an Albion player.

However he put the record straight today. "I am not taking legal action against any team-mate.

"I am only focusing on Saturday's game at Norwich," he said.
