West Brom's Ben Foster has a taste for victory as they target Hull win

Goalkeeper Ben Foster today urged Albion to harness their winning feeling and create another memorable away-day at Hull.

The Baggies head for the KC Stadium boosted by both their 2-1 win at Swansea last week and another 2,000-strong away following.

And Foster reckons Pepe Mel's side need a further away success against one of their survival rivals to inject real impetus into their battle against the drop.

"It is not that bad a run-in, to be honest," said Foster. "We have maybe three or four big teams to play, but the teams we will be playing around us are one we need to beat."

The victory at the Liberty Stadium was Albion's first in 10 attempts in the Premier League and a maiden win for Mel in his eighth game at the helm. And Foster believes that victory in south Wales can change the mentality in the Baggies' dressing room.

"It was massive," said the England man. "I didn't know how long it had been since we had a win but I knew it had been a good long while. It is ridiculous really. So we needed to get that winning feeling back again.

"The last five or six minutes were horrible and they seemed to go on forever but we ground it out. We got the three points and that was all that mattered.

"When you are in the doldrums, I don't care how you play, it is all about the points you get at the end of the game."

Albion head for Humberside without key defender Jonas Olsson, who starts a two-match suspension after totting up 10 yellow cards during the season. His absence could force Mel to revert to a conventional back four after he switched successfully to a 3-5-1-1 system to pull off the victory against the Swans.

And it seems certain to hand Craig Dawson another rare start in defence with Foster backing the former Rochdale man to rise to the challenge of figuring at a critical stage in the season.

"Craig Dawson can come in and fill that space," said Foster.

"He has done it so many times this season and he has been brilliant.

"We are obviously very disappointed to lose Jonas but it will not be a complete disaster for us."

Captain Chris Brunt will again by missing for the Baggies as he continues his rehabilitation from the knee injury that will keep him out for the majority of Albion's remaining matches.

But the Northern Ireland man will be an interested spectator and is hoping the Swansea win proves to be a turning point.

"It was only a matter of time before we got a result and to not be involved in that on Saturday was gutting," said Brunt.

"But I was delighted for the lads and everyone else. The results haven't been coming but we've been working hard on the training field.

"There was relief on everyone's face. To take a lot of fans down to Swansea and get a result is a bonus. Hopefully that can be a turning point and we can look up from here.

"That drags Swansea back in and around us as well and if we can get the points against Hull on Saturday it takes us above them – and people have been saying how well they've done."
