Hull City deny making bid for West Brom forward Shane Long

Hull today denied they had agreed a fee with Albion for Shane Long.

The Tigers have a long-term interest in the Ireland international and a deal for the striker collapsed last summer.

Reports said Long was due for a medical in Hull within the next 48 hours but the Premier League side have dismissed the claims.

They wrote on Twitter: "Contrary to reports in the media this morning, we have not reached any agreement with @WBAFCofficial over the transfer of Shane Long and as such will not be conducting a medical with the player today."
