Gabriel Tamas today urged Albion to target the top six as he said a fond farewell to Baggies fans.
The Romania international had the remaining 10 months of his contract cancelled on Monday, leaving him free to sign for a new club outside the transfer window.
The centre-back is now looking to stay in England and said: “It’s sad to say goodbye but I need to move on. I have good memories, especially as it is the first club where I stayed more than one year.
"It feels like my home. I think West Brom can aim for the top six – and I’ll be checking on their results.”
